The Snack Series – Friday

Friday The Snack Series Share the Flippin Fun Estela Kelley

Snacks

Cucumbers & Tomatoes

Slice up cucumbers and tomatoes and drizzle with a little bit of Balsamic Vinegar.  This is better when done the night before.

Hummus & Pita Chips

I rewarded myself with a substitute day chip and salsa with hummus and pita chips. Read the servings per package to keep in line with moderation.

Yeah! We made it to Friday and it’s been fun sharing some easy peasy snacks that can help you out on your snack binge or snack crunch. Now you can tweak my snack recipes to your liking, add more for the month and you are basically all set to eating healthy more mentally prepared snacks at hand without feeling guilty.

The Snack Series – Wednesday

Wednesday The Snack Series Share the Flippin Fun Estela Kelley (2)

Snacks

Deli Cheese Rolls

Grab a few slices and layer cheese and roll and layer in a serving tray. And tada! Done.  Roll a few more if you are sharing the snacks with others in the household.  Accountability goes a long way.

Toasted Avocado & Egg

I’ve recently heard of this one though it’s probably been around now.  You toast your favorite bread, slice up an avocado and lightly smash and season with a little salt and pepper is so desire.  Then slice up a boiled egg & layer a few slices on top.

It’s Wednesday and now you should have 6 snack recipes that you can alternate for next week.

Christmas, DIY PROJECTS, Pin Me

My 1st Christmas DIY Sign

Yeah I finished my 1st Christmas DIY sign!  Yeah to me!  Little did I know that Primer sticks to you.  Sticks to everything so be careful if you are using this instead of regular white paint.  Since we have a construction business I’m pretty much privy to lots of material on hand.

First, I kept some pallet boards from a  couple of deliveries.  It was about to hit the trash when I had a brilliant idea to paint a Christmas sign! My hubby rolled his eyes as he saw this pallet board back at home!

I then rolled on 2 coats of white primer, let it dry and took it on back to continue.

I cut out and tape my stencils and roll on my red and green acrylic paints.  I must confess the word Christmas was too long or my wood piece was too short! I then shortened and went with just XMAS instead.  I did clean up a bit with the white paint much like using white out.

I’m including some links for y’all in case you might get the DIY bug yourself!

As far as the pallet board, I would suggest go to your nearest Home Depot, Lowes, or General Lumber store.

Here’s my finished product!  So much fun being creative!

My Summer Wreath

Pretty wreath to warm up my heart and soul as I come and go during my summer days.

First, I suggest visiting them famous and well known dollar stores, use your 40% off Hobby Lobby coupon, or use your Michael’s coupons.  Scour for some great deals with the use of coupons is surely your best best as well.

Re-purposing a Summer Wreath

For this particular wreath, I used my dollar store finds and some Hobby Lobby discounted finds.  I only purchased fall floral stems if on sale.  Some items were originally priced at $3 and on sale at 50% off. Great finds and deals! Others at $2.50, $2.00, etc. You get the point.

I wiggled them into my Summer wreath, a simple hand twist in back to secure it’s position, and continued to fill my re-purposed wreath into a Fall Fabulous Wreath that will carry us thru until Thanksgiving. I also added in some dangling acorns! Adorable.
