Monday Faith Fire #89 | Breaking Up

Ephesians 5:31 For this reason a man will leave his father & mother & be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh. This Monday Faith Fire is so bittersweet because I’m pausing the text content in this format. In a sense I feel like I’m breaking up from something that has helped me and many others on my blog by utilizing these short Monday Faith Fire quick reads. I have journeyed quite a way now from where I first begun on the “interwebs” and how this section organically became what it has become. However, I know I need to break up from it to seek where He is leading me too. I do feel a sadness, like a son leaving his parents, even though I’m a female. I still carry emotions that are attached to something that came from within myself and GOD allowed it to develop. I have loved this section so much in so many ways and for so many reasons. And I also know that a son who marries does return. It’s never forever. Breaking up is sometimes needed. Doesn’t need explanation to others just like a son chooses a wife. He chooses and marries. And life goes on. Breaking up is no different. You break up, move on, and life continues on. Breaking up oddly allows growth. Like a son & wife will grow a new family. Breaking up allows direction. The son is now the head of his family. Breaking up allows a clearer vision. The son and the wife can begin to set goals in place together. A son who marries is also sad he’s leaving his parents but he also knows that he trusts GOD on  his path and through his FAITH great things are about to happen.

Monday Faith Fire Series #88 | How To Build The Best Community?

Monday Faith Fire Series, How To Build The Best Community is through having community, relationship, and encouragement with one another. Genesis 2:18 It is not good for the man to be alone, I will make a helper suitable for him. GOD gave us husband and wife to be best friends. To share the most intimate hopes and dreams to one another. To bounce off fears and worries and to build each other up to be the best human possible. GOD created us to have and to thrive around a community, whether that is small or large. A handful or less or 2 handfuls. It doesn’t really matter how many, how much, or when but community is there so you know that you are never alone in this vast world.

To build the best community you need GOD by your side, your mind, and your soul. GOD already created humans to gravitate to each other. Isn’t it joyful to have community with your spouse, your children, and outside people. Humans are hard wired to seek community as well within our own family first and then in friendship, colleagues, and business communities. These all encourage us to be our best. To strive for higher goals and to set new goals. It’s a wonderful feeling to have such great resources GOD has created with continued provision. The best work GOD provided is already in us. It’s HIS love. And with His love for us we can build the best healthy and most encouraging communities.

Monday Faith Fire Series #77 | You Were Made For Such Moments

In times of happiness and everything is going as expected we feel extra on target, don’t we? We feel a happiness that is elevated throughout all of our being and we shine so bright that nothing can drag us down. Nothing can tumble such glowing moments.  You know, it’s like having the perfect day. Everything goes as expected. The world is our oyster!

The car is filled with gas for your week, the kids woke up not fussing, the spouse and dogs all gave you kisses before your departure, and all the dishes got loaded up into the dishwasher with just a few minutes to spare to enjoy your second cup of coffee.

07062020 such moments

You feel like the moments were made just for you. Everything fell into place so nicely. Then there’s those other moments we butt heads against the wall, nothing is going as it should, and the car gas tank is on E (empty )! Did you ever think to consider that some hard moments are meant just for you as well? You were made for such moments. Even those types of moments. They are useful and sometimes a sign of relief that we need to prepare our selves for greater moments.

We are human and made in the image of GOD but we do get tired. And even more tired when we are trying to figure out how not to have a bad day. Instead of putting all the focus on the bad, focus on the good. For you were made for such moments.

John 4:6,  NIV: “Jacob’s well was there, and Jesus, tired as he was from the journey, sat down by the well. It was about noon.”

Monday Faith Fire Series #76 | Give It Your All

It’s the last Monday for this month and this had me wondering I gave it my all this month?  Did I focus 100% plus this month? This week? This day? Did I give it my all in all the things I do? Quite frankly my answer is “no”. Not a big fat, NO. But a general lower cap “no”. And not even a “punitive no” as in I need to be so hard on myself no.

What I do know is that I shall not falter by the wayside of my own accord when my strength comes from the Lord. There may be hours or days of the month that I just want to rest my body and mind . There are days or weeks that are too scrambled together to make any coherent decisions. And there are days or hours that I can not give it my all & “I just wanna give in!”.  Can anyone relate?

06292020 give it your all

The only way to give it my all is to rest on His word. His mighty love and pillar of strength and grace over me. When I rely on Him rather than finding comfort in my bed or a nice place to lay my head down, though it doesn’t hurt, I find refuge in my mighty GOD to recharge my mind and soul like a cell phone needing to be charged up. And when I surrender everything to Him after my daily chats and prayers do I find solace in His evident love.

Monday Faith Fire Series #74 | Make Your Monday’s Manageable

Ever heard that saying “Another day, another dollar”? Or “Day in, day out”? They all refer to the days in and days out of one’s work week. Or could mean different day, same stuff going on. Nothing has changed. Like the Duncan Donuts bakery man, “Time to make the donuts.” It’s the routine of daily living, daily work, daily days of day in and day out. Some Mondays we go into the work week with that attitude. Sometimes of our own free will of attitudes can stay the same. We carry that into the work week. We can continue to feel the same pain, same sadness, same desolate of despair, or same turmoil. Or we can flip the switch to another free will station of feeling better, feel gratitude for another day with a different or even better attitude to change our compass. Now your trajectory is in a better position of success this Monday.

mffs 74 Grace Upon You (1)

When we give everything to Jesus we believe, know, and trust that He has handled everything. Jesus has already handled your pain before you even receive it. When you are crying, asking for forgiveness, asking for a clear mind, Jesus has already taken care of your needs. Now rise up this week and keep living. Keep being the best you. Keep going on. Jesus is your savior. He’s not a condemned savior to continue your sufferings. He’s here for you and I. Receive His holiness and walk in the grace He has given you and pass on that grace to others this week.

Monday Faith Fire Series #73 | Good Spirit Lead Me

May your good spirit lead and guide me on this earthly ground. Teach me to not only live faithfully for my eternal destiny but teach me here and now how to live responsibly in the way Jesus wants us too in communal harmony. Have Jesus be the guiding book and force to learning how to relate to Him and the community. ASK and seek Him with all your heart this week and every week. Ask Him and HE will teach you His growing will for you thru prayer.

_mffs 73 walk in peace, love, and harmony

With so much destruction we’ve seen this past week in peoples hearts, eyes, and hands, this is a great way to relate to your new week and cast your vision onto JESUS. Certain communities are fighting evil and good. Right and wrong. Righteous perspective vs. twisted perspective. I’m praying for guidance for all the communities and continue to see the good in people. May you lift everyone to you JESUS and find good will and HIS will for all of us. To walk in peace, love, and harmony.

Psalm 143:10 Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground.

Monday Faith Fire Series #72 | You Got Back Up

Don’t you love when you go see an action movie and the good guys always has a backup? Like Batman has Robin. Wonder Woman has her lasso. Knight Rider had Kit. I know I am dating myself, but you get the point. There is always some sort of back up. It is a good team that keeps everything in a good place. The bad guy wrestles or has the good guy pinned or cornered in some dark elusive vacant building no one can find. The good guy doesn’t really shake in their boots long because they know, just right around the corner their partner in crime is about to do a sneak attack from somewhere and together they get the villain.

mffs 72 You Got Back Up

Well, it’s the same for us. For everyone. We have a good partner in crime. We have GOD. We have Jesus. We have the Holy Spirit. We have goodness surrounding us everyday when we need help. Even in times when we feel we don’t need the help, the help is still there. When we fill stuck in a situation or stuck in spirit, GOD is our true partner in crime. You are never alone in any struggles in your life. He will speak to you with love, guidance, and strength in every thing you do. Find courage and wisdom in HIS love always.

Deep Faith Monday Fire Series #71 |Are You Coming Across Blank Pages?

Every Monday I have been posting words of encouragement to perhaps help out one’s week. Today I find myself stumbling on blank paper and no words and so I begin to type and hopefully words begin to flow. Some Monday’s are exactly like that, where one wakes up and imagines everything to go seamlessly smooth. And sometimes they do happen that way. And other days there are blank pages to be filled in. And those days are when one feels the most lost. The most daggers popping up in one’s mind as to what is one’s purpose? Those are the days when one questions. You question your purpose? You question your life? You even question your parents as to what is your purpose? Why are you here? And so much time is spend on questions, questioning, and scrambling to find the answer. So much time has gone by.

DFMFS 05252020

When I find myself in blank situations, I find that to be the most comforting. It’s a time that GOD HIMself is causing me to sit still and listen to what is about to fill up those blank pages. GOD is grand! GOD is amazing. During your questioning times, prepare yourself and stop scrambling for answers for the answers are always provided to you from above. Life isn’t about creating yourself, it’s about discovering who GOD has created you to be.

Zest Like A Lemon | Deep Faith Monday Fire Series #70

Ever wondered why people refer to the cliche quote of he or she has a zest for life? Or someone telling you to have a zest for something? A lot of people have a natural zest for life and some have to build up to it. I myself at times fall in the latter. Some mornings I wake up perfectly normal, want to hit the track, & want to get to do all my things on my schedule. Other days I might just lag a bit but I don’t stay in the fogged lag for to long. I’ve learned and grown into having and applying zest to my life. So how can you?

Well, first let’s begin with the layers of a lemon. Yes, a lemon horticulture lesson, not that I’m a gardening expert but I do love me some lemons! So, the lemon has 2 layers. You first have the zest. That yellow bright peel we grate for pies and other amazing and flavorful dishes. The zest gives the lemon its color and is the outermost skin.  Then the 2nd layer is called the pith which is the bitter tasting white membrane that surrounds the entire fruit before getting to the good stuff inside. The pith protects the fruitDPMFS #70 in the inside. The lemon, much like any other thing grown begins from a seed, then a sprout, then a tree, then leaves and flowers. The flowers blossom and pollution begins and leads to a fruit.

Much like a lemon we are both. Sometimes we shine bright and other times we are salty with ourselves. When you first cut into a lemon or zest a lemon, doesn’t it waken up your senses positively? I think so, no matter what kind of mood you begin your day. Think about it this way, there are so many oil based scents out there selling like hot cakes because we can’t get enough of the lemon furniture polish, the sensational flavors of laundry detergents, candles, and sprays! We are all in love with them because its a close resemblance of naturalness. When you first wake up, begin to peel your zest, and shine bright this week.

XOXO

Estela K.
